Fortitude MSP, one of Derby’s leading and award winning IT Support companies, has demonstrated its commitment to the Derbyshire community by donating £150 to Survivors of Bereavement By Suicide (SOBS) during the recent Darley Park Big Weekender event. This generous contribution underscores the company’s dedication to raising awareness and providing support for those affected by suicide loss.
The Darley Park Big Weekender, which was sponsored by Fortitude MSP and several other local businesses, served as a platform for the company to not only raise funds but also to distribute vital information about SOBS. Attendees received leaflets and information packs, offering guidance and support to individuals struggling with the loss of a loved one to suicide.
Rob White, Head of Marketing at Fortitude MSP, expressed the company’s motivation behind the initiative: “At Fortitude MSP, we believe in the power of community support. By partnering with SOBS, we aim to break the stigma surrounding suicide bereavement and provide a lifeline to those in need.”
Katy Upton, CEO of Fortitude MSP, added, “Our involvement in the Darley Park Big Weekender goes beyond financial support. It’s about creating awareness and fostering a supportive environment for those affected by suicide loss.”
Anna, Head of Fundraising for SOBS, highlighted the impact of such donations: “The generous contribution from Fortitude MSP will directly support our efforts in providing a safe, confidential environment for bereaved individuals. It enables us to continue offering essential services and expand our reach to those who need it most.”
The £150 donation will contribute to SOBS’ ongoing efforts to provide support groups, helpline services, and resources for individuals coping with the loss of a loved one to suicide.
